Introductory questions to chew

"Who is the LORD?" -- what would have I answered Pharaoh?

What causes me to doubt God's mission for me?

If anything makes me angry or upset with God, what is it?

Do God's promises mean enough to me for me to live by them?

Am I too busy to think about God?

What do I know about God's authority?

How much time am I willing to give God to do what He said He would do?

"For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all" (Exodus 5:23).

"And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue" (Exodus 4:10).

"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise" (Hebrews 10:35,36).

Who is the LORD?

"Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them" (Exodus 18:11).

"Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed" (1 Samuel 2:3).

"The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land" (Psalm 10:16).

"The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower" (Psalm 18:2).

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want" (Psalm 23:1).

"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid" (Psalm 27:1).

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him" (Psalm 28:7).

"For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods" (Psalm 95:3).

"For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods" (Psalm 96:4).

"The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens" (Psalm 113:4).

"For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods" (Psalm 135:5).

"The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all" (Proverbs 22:2).

"And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him" (Isaiah 30:18).

"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us" (Isaiah 33:22).

"Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name" (Amos 5:8).
