Acts 4:3-20

Preparing My Heart

My books and my instructors must not in any way supplant my being with Jesus. My knowledge and my intellect are woeful, useless substitutes for being full of the Holy Spirit

I want God. I want to yearn for Him as a thirsty hart pants after the water brooks. I want to acknowledge Him in all my living. I want to be with Jesus.

Making the Bible Personal

Am I fully yielded to God’s Spirit for normal living?

How do I not set at nought the Cornerstone in the routines of life?

In this age of “tolerance,” am I weakening in my conviction that eternal life comes only through Jesus?

What must I do to make Jesus central and all-encompassing in my life?

Can anyone speak effectively against my testimony? If so, why?

Which themes dominate most of my conversations?

Reviewing Basic Truths

God uses the unlearned and ignorant, provided they have been with His Son and are filled with His Spirit.

Being with Jesus has noticeable effects.

Without the name of Jesus, there is no Christian witness.

Threats and worse must neither silence nor deter Christ’s ambassadors.

Applying God’s Word to Me
